RSS Subscribe FTP / Cron server migration

This announcement only applies to users on our NZ Corporate and Business Web Hosting plans.

Our upstream providers plan to migrate to a new FTP / Cron server next week. The new server is available for testing. The new server has a more recent version of Linux running on it, and while we believe we've got the configuration as close as possible to the current server, we recommend that you test some of your Cron jobs on the new server.

If you'd like to test your Cron jobs you can do so via your Control Panel. When you add a #test suffix to the job script the job will run on the new server and not on the current server.

e.g.

GET http://webhost.co.nz/cron.php

becomes:

GET http://webhost.co.nz/cron.php #test

If you'd like to test FTP access, please connect using your login and password to ap.webhost.co.nz

We're going to move the IP address from the old to the new server at 9AM Monday the 21st of December as this is the quietest time for Cron. There will be a brief period where FTP will not be available.
