RSS Subscribe New Backup System In Place for CPanel Hosting plans on Concorde and Libra servers

Since May 2008, our providers have been testing and running a new backup system for the CPanel Hosting plans on the Concorde and Libra servers. This new backup system is state of the art, and is only used by premium hosting providers. After the successful initial testing, it has now been implemented for CPanel Hosting plans on Concorde and Libra servers.

Our providers have been made aware of recently released exploit code that the Windows Servers may be vulnerable to. Our providers have therefore made an urgent security configuration change to prevent the service from being compromised. This has changed the ASP.NET Trust Level, so it is ow using the custom settings between Medium and High.

Concorde servers PHP4 installation has now been successfully switched from mod_php to suphp.

After this upgrade only a very few clients have contacted us with issues with old PHP4 scripts on their website. This is mainly due to most of our clients having already changed from PHP4 to PHP5 prior to the upgrade, as requested on our announcements page first posted back in Febrary 08, and via our RSS feed. We believe only a few clients are still using the old PHP 4. Our providers are keeping a very close eye on the server, in case any server issues caused by the upgrade occur.

As per our earlier announcement at http://loungenetwork.co.nz/status-rss.php?id=25, the Concorde cPanel server will have it's PHP 4 installation switched from mod_php to suphp.

This should take place this weekend (between 11th-12th October 2008).
The total update should take a few hours, and involve no server downtime. We will update this message when it has beeen done. *** UPDATE This update has now been completed***
