This announcement only applies to cPanel web hosting clients, and not to Corporate/Business Hosting Plan users.
Over the course of the past year, our providers have been diligently working behind the scenes, building and setting up a new facility for our clients. The facility started out being one that our providers would expand into. The more our providers thought and looked at the future, they decided to move everyone to this new facility.

5/06/2008 - PHP 4 End-Of-Life Plans for all Linux Users - UPDATED

Important Information for ALL PHP 4 Users on ALL Linux Users.
As you may be aware, PHP developer support for PHP 4 was discontinued on the 31/12/2007. While our hosting providers will continue to support PHP 4 sites during early to mid 2008, PHP 4 itself will only receive select security updates until 08/08/2008 and from then on it will no longer have security updates released. All new Linux websites setup from the 5/06/2008 will now be setup by default as PHP 5.
UPDATE: PHP 4 will be phased out on the on the cPanel Servers (Concorde and Libra servers) on the 15th August 08, so please make sure your scripts that use PHP 4 will work with PHP 5 before the switch over date.

If you are currently a Xtra/Yahoo/Telecom ISP user this message applies to you. We have received a information that Xtra/Yahoo/Telecom are apparently implementing more changes to their email systems, in particular with sending email via a domain name based email address. We don't believe that Xtra/Yahoo/Telecom have yet informed their own customers about this very important change.

Over the past couple of days we seen reports in the news, that a number of websites in NZ have fallen victim to hackers due to wide open permissions (777) on directories and files or out of date CMS installations. We would like to remind all clients that 3rd party software on your site is your responsability and to make sure files are not world writable.
